ARK가 벤처펀드를 토큰화하자 Securitize 주가가 15% 뛰었다

Cathie Wood가 이끄는 ARK Invest가 자사 벤처펀드를 블록체인에 올린다고 발표했어.1 대상은 ARK Venture Fund(ARKVX), 파트너는 토큰화 인프라 회사 Securitize(SECZ)다.1

발표 직후 숫자가 먼저 움직였어. Securitize 주가가 최대 15% 뛰면서 지난 6월 상장 이후 최고치를 찍었다.2 이 회사 주가는 일주일 전 SEC가 “혁신 면제”를 발표한 뒤로 이미 거의 두 배가 된 상태였고, 이번 소식이 거기에 한 번 더 얹힌 거야.2

무엇을 토큰화한다는 건가

ARKVX는 자격을 갖춘 투자자에게 OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, Databricks 같은 비상장·상장 기업에 대한 노출을 묶어서 제공하는 펀드야.3 이 펀드는 Securitize의 인프라를 이용해 토큰화된 지분을 발행하고, Securitize가 온체인 발행과 투자자 경험을 담당한다.4 서비스는 이더리움에서 먼저 열리고, 두 회사는 다른 네트워크로도 확장할 수 있다고 밝혔어.4

두 회사는 왜 이 딜을 반기나

ARK 창업자 겸 CEO인 Wood는 “ARK Venture Fund를 온체인에서 이용 가능하게 하는 것은 파괴적 혁신에 대한 접근을 민주화한다는 우리 미션의 자연스러운 확장”이라고 밝혔다.5 Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo는 좀 더 실용적인 이유를 댔어. “OpenAI와 Anthropic 중 누가 AI 경쟁에서 이길지 모른다면, 여기서는 분산된 풀 안에서 둘 다에 노출을 얻을 수 있다”는 것.6

둘 다 두 회사가 내세우는 설명이라는 점은 감안하고 읽어야 해. 실제로 확인되는 건 앞에서 말한 구조(펀드 지분의 토큰화, 이더리움 우선 발행)까지고, “민주화”나 “분산 노출”은 그 구조를 회사들이 해석한 방식이야.

왜 지금 이 발표가 눈에 띄나

지난주 SEC는 특정 토큰화된 미국 주식이 전용 온체인 거래소에서 거래될 수 있도록 허용하는 5년짜리 “혁신 면제”를 공개했다.7 Citi 애널리스트들은 토큰화된 증권 시장이 2030년까지 기본 시나리오로 5조 5천억 달러에 이를 수 있다고 전망했다.8
